TAMSEN GLASER is a Chicago-based actor and classically trained singer whose eclectic interests include (but are not limited to) theatre, opera and puppetry.
A Midwesterner at heart, Tamsen began her training in her hometown of Kalamazoo MI, where she earned her BFA in Acting and BA in Music at Western Michigan University. Immediately upon graduation, she made a quick stop in Chicago's theatre scene and moved straight to Seattle. She graduated with her MFA in the Professional Actor Training Program at the University of Washington. Her time in Seattle has included collaborations with ACT Theater and Seattle Rep. She has since moved back to Chicago to work at theatres such as Victory Gardens Theater and Haven at the Den Theatre. She has been seen on Chicago Med and most recently in the feature film A Winter Song, premiering this Christmas.
Tamsen is the co-producer and performer of YOU BE THE GUY: A Miscast Cabaret, a touring cabaret series built around analyzing what happens when the male narrative in the musical theatre canon (along with many other music genres) changes when coming from a femme approach.
Her favorite work has included playing Elizabeth Taylor playing Cleopatra, building and manipulating a monkey puppet named Professor Macaroni, and any production where she can eat real food onstage.
